Many Accessories are gypsies at heart. For those whose gypsy shoes have not yet sprouted wings, I’ll allow you to travel vicariously by creating some reports of what’s going on with Access in various countries. The differences are so interesting, and clearing the limitations in individuals’ flavors and languages contributes to the speed at which Access is able to change, evolve, and progress.
In many ways, Italy is the granddaddy of Access Consciousness® activity in foreign languages. It’s also the host for several dynamic upcoming events with Gary and Dain in May and June.
People from all over the world tuned in for translation in their own languages, via Internet “podcasts,” as Access Founder Gary Douglas presented the latest revision of the core Foundation and Level 1 classes. Only the live class in Rome and pods in Italy heard Kass’s melliflous translation, while pods in other languages had time for silence between English information so their local translators in countries like Austria, Turkey, Poland, Malaysia, Romania, France, and others could translate Gary’s information and clearing statements and participants’ questions into their own languages.
This was the first presentation of Foundation and Level 1 by Gary in Europe, ever.
This weekend, June 7-10, Gary is presenting the Advanced Body Class which has an extra half day added so it lasts 3-1/2 days instead of the more usual 3. How did we get so lucky? (Two 3-Day Body classes and levels 2 & 3 are required to attend this class. Also in Rome at the same venue, Kass Thomas and Dr. Claudia Cano co-facilitated a 3-day body class between Gary’s Foundation/Level 1 and the Advanced Class.)
Dr. Dain Heer will be presenting Levels 2 and 3 also in Rome, starting August 31. Like Gary’s Foundation and Level 1, it will be translated live into Italian, and by translators in various countries as people in those countries watch it via the Internet with live translation into their native languages. This is THE Levels 2 & 3 for anyone requiring it in translation and/or broadcast via the Internet to their home computer this year.
How did such a traditional country become the initiation of Access Consciousness® in foreign languages? It all started when Karen Jones, a talented jazz singer, had a long- standing gig in Calabria, in the conservative “boot” of Italy. Karen has a way of inviting people to let go of stress by having their Bars run, and so it began. Some tiny seeds were planted in the rocky soil of Italy’s most old-fashioned and remote region.
Karen’s college friend Kass Thomas visited her there, got hooked on Access herself, and became a facilitator. Married to an Italian and living in Rome, Kass was in a unique position to be as persistent as was required to fan the flames of Access in Italy.
She spearheaded the first publication in a foreign language by a “regular” publisher, a combination of Gary and Dain’s early books, Money Isn’t the Problem, You Are and Magic: You Are It, Be It. The first European facilitators class was held in Rome three years ago, and every European facilitators class since then has been held there as well. Many American facilitators, as well as most Europeans and most recently some Indians, find it the most inviting place to attend the boot camp of consciousness.
The penetration of widespread English speaking that is prevalent in northern countries like Scandinavia and the Netherlands has not yet spread to Italy. Many Italians have the point of view that the world really should speak Italian. The scenery, weather, and beauty of their country is so great that they can get away with that point of view better than some other countries might. Thomas, now coordinator of foreign languages and translation, has observed that they have managed to attract a surprising number of people fluent in English to Access classes in Italy. Their point of view may be working for them!
Part of the reason for the repeated hosting of the European facilitators’ class in Italy is the number of Italian facilitators, many of whom do not speak English. If you’d like to do Foundation and Level 1 in Italian, you can now do so with facilitators in Venice, Florence, Tuscany, Turin, Rome or Milan and more. (You can find these classes by going to the “find a class” portion of the website and putting “Italy” in the country you specify.)
While classes with translation can appear to move slower, making some people impatient at times, Douglas has noted since the very first bilingual class in Mexico many years ago that the clearings actually go deeper and “work better” on the people who do NOT speak the language in which they’re being said. The clearings Douglas said in English went deeper on the Spanish speakers who did not “understand English,” and when the clearing statement was repeated with translation into Spanish, that clearing statement worked deeper on the “English speakers.” Some people who are aware of this actually choose classes presented in foreign languages to get the benefits of this “deep cleaning.”
One English-speaking facilitator doing an Access Bars® class in Paris told the only non-English speaking participant that far from at a disadvantage, he was actually lucky because the clearings would work at a deeper level on him.
